EDITING PROGRESS 9/04/08

WELL SINCE I HAVENT BEEN AVAILABLE LAST WEEK FOR EDITING DUE TO UNECESSARY CIRCUMSTANCES, ILL ROUND UP ON WHATS BEEN HAPPENING IN THE SO CALLED "NAAA" PRODUCTION LOL PRIVIATE JOKE.. OKKKKK WE HAVE LITERALLY 2 DAYZ LEFT TO COMPLETE THIS PRODUCTION AND I HAVE TO SAY HATZ OFF TO EVERYONE IN THE GROUP BECAUSE OUR PRODUCTION IS LOOKIING PERFECT, JUST ONE MORE SCENE LEFT TO FILM AND THEN JUST CAPTIONS NEEDED AS FINISHING TOUCHES SO THE CAPTIONS CAN BE DONE ON FRIDAY, OUR LAST SCENE WAS MEANT TO BE DONE TODAY BUT DUE TO HEALTH PROBLEMS TO CERTATIN GROUP MEMBERZ, IT WAS NOT POSSIBLE BUT HOPEFULLY WE'LL GET IT DONE ON THURS SO FRIDAY WE WILL HAVE LESS TO DO AND WE WOULDNT HAVE TO WORRY ON THE LAST DAY AND RUSH INTO THINGSSS.. OKAY THAT BIT DONE, MOVING ON...

WE RECENTLY FILMED FOOTAGE OF VARIOUS SURROUNDINGZ IN THE AREA YESTERDAY, AMIT AND AJITPAL GOT SOME REALLY FANTASTIC SHOTS OF A PATHWAY, MORE LIKE A SUBWAY FROM THE SO CALLED "DEVILS ALLEY" BIG MANZZZZZ BEING SOLDIERS ENTERING THE DIRTY AREAS, AND HATS OFF TO AVI FOR THE GHOST EFFECT ON THIS PART WHICH HE FELL IN LOVE WITH AND KEPT ON WATCHING IT OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN HAHA BUT TO HIM IT WAS WORTH IT SO YEH.

TODAY WE DECIDED TO BRING SOME FEMININE ASPECTS INTO OUR PRODUCTION, AS WE HAD LATISHA AND INDI PLAYING SHIV'S ROLL SINCE HE HAS GONE ON HOLIDAY DOING A TYPICAL RELATIONSHIP BREAK UP SCENE AND ENDING WITH INDI SMASHING A GLASS BOTTLE ON THE FLOOR, WE USED AN EFFECT CALLED REVERSE ACTION SOMETHING LIKE THAT AND IT LOOKED REALLY WICKEDDDD SO ONCE AGAIN HATS OFF TO AVIIINASHHHH AND YES HE DID FALL IN LOVE WITH THIS EFFECT AND WATCHED IN CONTINOUSLY. ALSO I FROGOT TO MENTION ABOUT OUR TITLE, THIS TITLE IS OFF THE CHAIN AND IN MY VIEW THE BEST TITLE SO FAR IN ALL PRODUCTIONS, TOOK AGAES TO DO BUT IM NOT GOING TO GIVE AWAY WHAT IT IZ AND HOW WE DONE IT, YOU CAN SEE FOR YOURSELFS WHEN ITS SHOWN.

BUT YEAH ON COURSE TO FINISH ON FRIDAY, OR MAYBE THURS IF WE ARE LUCKY BUT ITS A GREAT TURN AROUND AS THIS TIME LAST WEEK DURING A SCREEN TESTING, OUR PRODCUTION WAS ALL OVER THE PLACE AND IN PIECES SO GREAT JOB TO EVERYONE. EDITING PROGRESS 01/04/08

Well since Amit couldnt be bothered to update the blog since hes too busy practicin for his ECB coachin shanannagenz, i thought id do the honours and fill you in whats been going on lykkk.. well yday we had out hero Shiv make a suprise appearance at school to take some shots of him much 2 ajitpal's delight, him and amit were beh happy he came (haha), moving on, AMIT AND AJITPAL, filmed him 1st in the school studio in the F block (i never knew we even had a music block let alone a studio), rapping on the mic with the headsets on, when it came to capturing it, on the software, despite the fact me and Avi thinking this studio is profressionall, it just turned out to be a classroom wiv instruments so it didnt look good as there was school surroundingz that were being shown BUTTT, we did however manage to find some good decent shots in that scene which we have used so yeh that scene is done and dusted. the next scene which involved Shiv was a long shot of him kickin a paper ball and then picking it up and opening it and the camera closed in to the paper which was the rap battle leaflet so it creates a bit of narrative to the audience as they will be aware whats the main story to this film, there was also bit of dialoigue but i dont think we have used that part but we're still contemplating. Also today we took shots of out black artist (Lanzel - ARIESSSMANNNNNNN), saying a few words, filmed by Avinah and Amit, quite a few shots where taken such as close ups and side shots of Lanzel saying few lines of dialougue, we also go him punchin the screen towards the camera, this shot will relate to the scene where Shiv falls on to the floor, we already have captured that scene, but no idea wheather we will use what we have or re-film that. Also we sequenced everything in order of what we got so far, and added a soundtrack which goes well with the trailer, the 1st 15 seconds will have shots of our institutions and then when out beat kicks in, thats when our trailer kicks in.

at the moment our trailer is looking very good and we are all pleased, just a few little bits and bobs left to do, but we're happy with what we have produced so far and hope we continue with this hardwork. also id like to give a shoutout to the mentors who assist us, they have been very helpful , alot of advice given on their blog, especially from Athar despite the fact we both diss eachother lol but yeh Athar especially has been doing his job perfectly as well as all the other mentors (yes Nazia that includes you can stop crying now) they all have been doing their job well and thanx for the advice, help and contribution in some way.

but yeh thats all i gotta say now, ill be back more and yeh - C'MONNNNNNNNNNNNNNN BOYZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ BIG UP MR BABU

Editing Progress

well, so far, we managed to get more filming done over the weekend with our protagonist SHIV. we took long shots of him walking up and back down an alleyway and also had abit of magic (haha) with a random person appearing next to shiv for a split second and then disappearing, magic right there lol. also we had a shot of shiv falling on to the floor slowly, this shot will relate to the scene where the enemy (Lanzel) throws a punch towards the camera and the next shot will be a shot of shiv falling down on to the floor on his side and we will slow this down to create an effect to the audience. I captured the latest footage on to the computer and we then trimmed them all down and put them in a temporary order just for now, we stayed until 7pm this day which was long as there was so much footage to capture and we had to make sure we took note down of the timing and we captured it correctly

well right now (20/01/08) we are currently editing at the moment trying out different effects for the introduction of our protagonist character shiv, we have come up with a good effect for this opening which no one approves off lol but we think its really good and we will keep it. I was given the job of updating our blog as its been a while since its been updated so i thought might as well make myself productive :D, so overall, we're making good progress with jus 1 or 2 scenes more to film and then the soundtrack and an order for it.

Editing 11/03/08

wats good, yeh editing has been the same as the past few days, we've just been tying out new effects on our footage and see what goes well, but also we managed to finish off our sequence and decide on how it will be structured. we also going to start our last filming tomo on 12/3 and finish the filming and then hopefully by the end of the week, our filming will be finished and we can start to sequence our trailer and add music and a voiceover. so at the moment its all going well. stayed until 7 today :|, longest ive ever stayed in a clasroom all my life haha but yeh, we have abht 4 key scenes to film now and then we can try out different pieces of hip hop music soundtrack and see which one suits our production and how it looks.

and another thing, some of the media mentors need to calm down while chatting 2 out group, one mentor (not mentionin names) threatend us today :| and kept shoutin at us for no reason thinkin we aint takin it seriously but we are tho, i may have over reacted when sayin our group gonna win the best production, but we know we have a good chance of achieving that because we are confident. we may be laid back during editing but that dont mean we dont care about dis production, so a message to that mentor, JAM UR HYPE lol, nah really dont shout at us unless u got a reason to

Progress part 4

well even though we havent finished filming, (lol) we have captured all our footage on adobe premiere software and we have a lot of footage and it loooks really good and we got great ideas on how 2 structure how the trailer will start, the main scenes and the ending. we decided (without ajitpal) that since we have 3 or 4 weeks left 2 finish ediitng, we decided to choose 1 weekday and 1 weekend, depending on the availability of our asian artsit shiv, to COMPLETLEYYYYYY finish da last few bits and bobs of our filming and BANGGG.. we can capture that on adobe and begin to build our trailer by addin the special effects and soundtrack, so we are all on good track!!!!! nice one boyzzzzzz
