Genre conventions

The genre of the film trailer that we are going to be creating is more of music and the type of music is going to be more along the lines of rap music (maybe a bit of hip hop) so the normal type of conventions that you would expect to see in movies such as this one would be lots of special effects to keep the audience hooked on what they are watching for example, in our trailer there will be an instant where some of the lyrics being said will appear on screen.

There are three other things that you might expect to see in music movies and there are drugs, sex and violence, now the drugs part is only suitable to some movies and normally it depend on what kind of a storyline is in place, the sex again depends on the story line set however sex might not be suitable in our production because of the storyline and the type of target audience we have chosen to direct our trailer at. Violence is what you expect to see in most movies and this one will certainly be no different. For example there could be a scene where the male protagonist will get attacked on the sly by his enemy.

There will be some extra things in our trailer that you might not expect to see in others for example, there will be a number of rap battles so the target audience can look at something that they can all relate to.
They are just some of the main conventions that you would normally see in a film with the same genre as ours so keep a look out for them. Check you later.
